IDEAS AND DIFFERENCES?
Simply named "Song," this deck is intended to be a slow grinding prison deck. Draw through your deck with Howling Mine. Lock the opponent with Winter Orb. Make it asymmetrical with Relic Barrier. Icy Manipulator and Copy Artifact are the stars of the deck. A control suite of Abysses, white removal, and restricted cards manage what the artifact Parfait doesn't catch. The win is a combination of Mishra's Factory, Mirror Universe, and Titania's Song to animate all your prison pieces and swing in for the win.

First of all, this deck deviates from my typical 61 cards. I cannot figure out the 2 final cuts to get to 61. It's definitely not a honed weapon intended to Top 8. This is a fun casual prison build intended to construct the lock and play cards that I love. It can potentially play like The Deck at times. But other times it leans towards a prison lock.

MEMORIES FROM PLAYING IT?
Every time you build the prison lock and play Titania's Song to swing for lethal in a single attack is memorable. It's happened several times, but that's the dream. The most memorable thing about the deck, though, is the Titania's Song card itself. We were able to talk with Tom Wanerstrand some years ago about our club and how much we appreciate his work and the Titania's Song card. As an event prize, Tom graciously offered to alter a Titania's Song--originally illustrated by his mother, Kerstin Kaman. The alter was won by a friend, who traded it back into the club, where it changed hands again and I wound up with it. The Tom Wanerstrand alter of Titania's Song has such a wonderful story behind it, I always love casting it. The story behind that card is why this deck exists.
MATCHUPS?
I don't worry about the matchups against certain decks. Play what you love but shore up your weaknesses.

SIDEBOARD SUGGESTIONS?
As a prison deck that plays the long game, I hope to be prepared against fast aggro using Abysses, Mirror Universes, and other creature removal. I change the sideboard to suit whatever I expect at an event, so it could move a lot.
